Min Woo Lee Takes Control at Houston Open

Australia's Min Woo Lee showcased a masterclass performance in the third round of the Houston Open, firing a bogey-free 7-under 63 to surge into a four-shot lead. His three-round total of 17-under par shattered the tournament's previous 54-hole record, solidifying his position as the man to beat heading into the final day.

Lee’s Flawless Round

Lee’s round was highlighted by seven birdies, including a clutch finish despite some wayward drives late in the day.

"Hopefully tomorrow is another good day," Lee said. "Just got to play steady off the tee, keep my head down, and take it one shot at a time."

Chasing Pack

  • Alejandro Tosti (Argentina) sits in second place at 13-under after a strong 65.

  • Defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who set a course record (62) in Round 2, stumbled slightly with a 69 but remains tied for third at 12-under alongside Ryan Fox (65) and Ryan Gerard (68).

"I couldn’t buy a putt today," Scheffler admitted. "But I’ll regroup and go low tomorrow."

  • Rory McIlroy (NI) carded a 65 with an eagle and three birdies to climb to 9-under, though he acknowledged: "Didn’t have my best, but it’s a step forward."
