Wolves Bolster Squad with 'Fastest Serie A Player' Jackson Tchatchoua
Wolves sign Jackson Tchatchoua, the fastest player in Serie A, to strengthen their defense for the upcoming Premier League season.

Wolves have made a significant addition to their squad by signing Jackson Tchatchoua, the fastest player in Serie A, for €12.5 million (£10.8 million) on a five-year deal from Hellas Verona. The 23-year-old Cameroon international is known for his versatility, capable of playing as a right-back or wing-back, and his impressive speed, with an average top speed of 34.88 km/h last season.
Tchatchoua's speed is not just a statistic; it's a game-changer. Last season, he recorded a top speed of 36.3 km/h, showcasing his ability to outpace opponents and make crucial plays. While Tottenham's Micky van de Ven holds the Premier League speed record at 37.38 km/h, Tchatchoua's pace is expected to bring a new dynamic to Wolves' defense.
Born in Belgium, Tchatchoua began his career at Charleroi before moving to Hellas Verona on loan and eventually joining them permanently in 2024. Last season, he made 37 appearances, scoring twice and providing three assists, proving his value both defensively and offensively.
This signing is part of Wolves' broader strategy to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season. They have also secured the permanent transfer of forward Jorgen Strand Larsen for £23 million, forward Fer Lopez for £19 million, winger Jhon Arias for £15 million, and defender David Moller Wolfe for £10 million.
With these additions, Wolves are positioning themselves as serious contenders in the Premier League, aiming to climb the table and make a significant impact in the 2024-25 season.
